Our Story

For years, we searched for clothing that simply felt right — pieces that looked as good on a Tuesday morning as they did at a Sunday dinner. Clothes you could reach for without thinking, that quietly held their shape season after season. We couldn't find them. So in 2016, we built Murray & Hayes.

A different kind of wardrobe

It started with a simple frustration. Too much of what we found was either loud and disposable, or beautiful but impossible to actually live in. We wanted the in-between — considered, comfortable, quietly elegant. The sort of clothing that earns its place in your wardrobe and stays there.

That idea became our whole way of working. We don't chase trends or fill rails for the sake of it. We keep our collection small on purpose: every season, a handful of pieces we're genuinely proud to put our name on. Fewer things, chosen well.

Quality you only notice when it lasts

We care about the details most people feel rather than see — the weight of a knit, the drape of a trouser, a seam that holds. Good clothing should age gracefully, soften with wear, and still look considered years from now. That's the standard every piece has to meet before it reaches you.
